About SKCAT
The St. Kitts Canadian Association of Toronto (SKCAT) plans a variety of events throughout the year. In February we celebrate Black History Month by having a Black History celebration. In May we host one of our biggest events in which we are pleased to celebrate all mothers, grandmothers, god mothers and special women in our lives with our annual Mother’s Day brunch. July is by far our busiest month with our Annual Picnic, Boat Ride and Caribana Dance. Independence celebrations take place in September, which is a joint event with NEVCAN.
SKCAT has a scholarship award which was established to recognize the exceptional academic, community and leadership achievements of young people who have familial ties to St. Kitts and Nevis. This award is presented at our annual Christmas Dinner and Dance. SKCAT also enjoys entertaining the children with our annual Children’s Christmas party, held in December.
As SKCAT is a non-profit organization we thank our many sponsors for donations that have been presented to us throughout the years which has allowed us to cater to the many events SKCAT proudly presents. SKCAT would like to thank our members and non members for their continued support throughout the years and many more years to come.
